Chief Executive Officer
Richard Wayne is responsible for all of the company’s business divisions including the Northeast Community Banking Division, ableBanking, and the Loan Acquisition and Servicing Group. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Northeast Bank and Northeast Bancorp. Prior to joining the bank, Mr. Wayne co-founded Capital Crossing Bank, in Boston, Massachusetts, where he served as its President and Co-Chief Executive Officer from 1991 until its sale in February 2007. Capital Crossing Bank was a national leader in the acquisition and management of commercial loans, purchasing over $2 billion of loans.
He holds a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School, L.L.M. in Taxation from Boston University School of Law and a B.S. in Accounting from Syracuse University.
Deposit Servicing Manager
Melinda Barlow is responsible for internal operations that include Deposit Servicing and Electronic Banking. She also works with the Call Center to ensure the highest level of customer service through precise account monitoring.
Prior to joining the bank, Ms. Barlow spent ten years at Key Bank of Maine, as a Financial Services Counselor. Ms. Barlow is an active member of the community and has volunteered her time with organizations like Big Brother, Big Sister and events such as the Dempsey Challenge.
Ms. Barlow has completed courses through the American Institute of Banking (AIB).
VP, Director of Customer Sales and Operations
Christopher Bouchard is responsible for all contact center related business and customer servicing. He possesses an extensive customer service background, which has enabled him to implement innovative tactics to create a customer contact center that is dedicated to service excellence.
Mr. Bouchard joins the bank from ING (Formerly CitiStreet) in Lewiston, Maine; where he was a Senior Officer and Operations Supervisor. There he held managerial positions in both the customer service and retirement services division. He previously worked as a Senior Specialist for Citigroup Global Transaction Services in its Maine office, and as a Financial Consultant for Dirigo Financial Group, LLC.
Mr. Bouchard has over ten years combined experience in the financial services and banking industry, with a strong customer service focus, previously holding the Series 6, Series 63, Series 65, and Series 26 FINRA designations.
Mr. Bouchard is finishing his M.B.A. at Southern New Hampshire University and earned a B.S.in Business Administration from the University of Maine at Orono.
SVP, Director of Operations
Julie Jenkins, is responsible for oversight of the Loan Servicing, Deposit Operations, Information Technology and Customer Contact Center departments of the Bank. She ensures that all operational components are running effectively and remain current with ongoing compliance, risk management, and technology updates. Prior to becoming Director of Operations, Ms. Jenkins was the Director of eBanking Strategic Initiatives. In that role, she was responsible for developing and implementing the operational and technical processes to support the Bank's affinity banking strategy. This included managing the various third party relationships hired to develop the new website, integrating the technical components of the website with the bank's current technology platform, streamlining the online account opening process and the development of internal controls to ensure this channel remains compliant with current regulations.
Prior to joining the bank, Ms. Jenkins was at Sovereign Bank, where she led a team of internal consultants for its parent, Banco Santander, who were responsible for planning, organizing and implementing enterprise-wide new technology systems for the company. Ms. Jenkins has held senior operations and technology positions at Mt. Washington Bank and Abington Savings Bank.
She earned her B.A. in Management from Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts.
